Ms. Lick's Class |
My name is Kirstin Lick and I love being a teacher here at NSCS! This is my second year teaching 5th and 6th Grade at the Beverly campus and I am thrilled to be back. Having both the experience of working in public schools and private, I have seen first hand the mighty ways God is working through the students, teachers, and staff here at NSCS. In this loving and caring environment, students are taught from a young age to think for themselves, to question the world around them and to always seek the truth. You don’t see this at many schools and I am honored to be apart of this learning community!
As my students could tell you, I was born and raised in the mountains of Vermont. I followed in my mother’s footsteps and decided to become a teacher and attended Gordon College from 2013-2017. I graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Elementary Education, Linguistics, and a concentration in ESL. Since then, I have moved down here and made Massachusetts my home! In my free time, I love to be outside in nature. I grew up living close to the mountains and learned from an early age to appreciate God’s creation through hiking and camping. I enjoy playing my violin, reading a new novel, creative writing and poetry. I also love playing tennis, eating dark chocolate with a cup of hot coffee, and being with friends and family. My favorite kind of day would be in the Autumn, watching the leaves turn on the trees, eating cider donuts (my favorite), and roasting marshmallows over a campfire with friends. I love being apart of my church community at Community Church of East Gloucester and participating in the services and teaching Sunday School! I am very excited to embark on this new journey this year and look forward to see what God has in store for us. This is going to be an incredible and exciting year! |
